“When the Weather Turns Angry”

April 29, 2026

Scripture: “The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him.”Nahum 1:7

Some days the sky feels like it’s carrying the same weight we do. The wind snaps, the clouds boil, and the weather turns angry without warning. It’s loud, unpredictable, and unsettling — a reminder that we’re not in control of the world around us. But even in the middle of the storm, there’s something the weather can’t change: the mercy of God doesn’t shift with the atmosphere.

Storms may roll in fast, but His compassion is steady. Winds may howl, but His voice is still gentle. The sky may darken, but His mercy is new every morning. When the world feels unsettled, God doesn’t match the mood of the storm — He anchors us through it.

If the weather outside is loud today, let it remind you of this: God’s mercy is louder still. The storm may shake the trees, but it cannot shake His faithfulness toward you.

Reflection: When the weather turns angry, I will rest in the mercy that never changes.
